In my youth I had the misfortune of attending Derry Area High School (yeah, Derry Area, make all the jokes you want, I've heard them all). Derry township is an useless hole in the middle of western PA. The school district comprises part of Blairsville, Derry, New Alexandria and Latrobe PA.
After graduating high school I moved to Pittsburgh (Oakland, to be specific) to attend the University of Pittsburgh. After about four years I graduated from the University with a B.S. in Natural and Information Science.
After graduating I continued to work for the University for five+ years. During my tenure there I worked in the fields of Computer Engineering, System Administration, Scripting & Development, Informatics and I spent several years teaching IT/IS courses. When I left academics I went on to the challenging world of corporate Unix and Storage engineering.
Today I work for the technology company NetApp as a Cloud Computing CPR Engineer. My current responsibilities include a hodge-podge of technical concepts revolving around the architecture, design, support and performance of a global cloud-computing environment.

My political viewpoint is slightly more complicated than just liberal or conservative. I am a libertarian conservative constitutionalist. Basically I believe that everyone has the right to do what they want as long is it doesn't harm anyone else and the government has no right to interfere in the daily lives of the people.
